My Story

About Lori H. Huber

 

      B. Loved Fitness & Gifts, John 14:21 was established in August of 2019 and evolved from Lori’s stationery card line B. Scrolls. Back in 2014 following the untimely death of artist Brittany Huber,

B. Scrolls was born. Brittany’s inspirational art collections of crowns, crosses, and angels were created into one-of-a-kind stationery cards. Scholarship and foundation funds were established in Brittany’s name, and sales were allocated to them. In 2016, Lori became the sole proprietor and founder of B. Scrolls.

     For the past 21 years and counting, Lori has been employed as a fitness professional. She has a strong passion for teaching group exercise classes. During the most turbulent times of her life, the Lord guided her in the direction of pursuing a small business in retail and aerobics. The experience she gained from the fitness industry coupled with her desire for a distinctive gift shop led her to follow her dreams and land a home for B. Scrolls cards.

     In 2018, Lori began to go after her small business idea which originated from her home-based Christmas Star Market. The Star Market offered local vendors and their wares. In addition, ten percent of market sales were dedicated to a Veteran’s Day cause. Lori says the vision of a star came from the Holy Spirit as it symbolizes the sacrifice of Jesus’ blood on the cross. Ultimately, the star launched into something bigger as each point characterized its own entity. The designated entities became a devotional reading area, gift shop, fitness studio, a B. Scrolls card wall, and a Keurig coffee bar. In the middle of the star reads the word “Gather” which signifies the meeting place for all five star sections. At B. Loved Fitness & Gifts, folks can gather together to read, shop, exercise, collect cards, and sip coffee.

     The atmosphere of B. Loved Fitness & Gifts is warm and inviting. Nestled inside is a charming coffee station and a cozy gathering table. You will find an eclectic array of unique gift collections from wellness items, to jewelry to home decor. You can also discover a few home grown gifts from local artisans including wood-working pieces, candles, hand-made art and much more. Faith-based prayer journals and devotional books are housed here too! Lori sensed a call to share her testimony and spiritual journey of adversity with the world; therefore, she hopes to inspire, motivate and lift others through B. Loved Fitness & Gifts.

      “As a small child, I was always drawn to stationery products and unique gift store items. Growing up during the 1970’s and 1980’s, I would diligently search for anything personalized, from note pads to jewelry, with my name on them. Something as simple as a beautifully crafted note card, a hand-made wooden cross, or devotional book brings me joy. The simple things seem to have a way of making a gloomy day bright. My dream is for B. Loved Fitness & Gifts to be a heavenly place that people can visit while leaving their troubles behind if only for a few minutes. Seeking this God-breathed vision is what has driven me to bring B. Loved Fitness & Gifts to life. Despite all obstacles in my personal life and a global pandemic, B. Loved Fitness & Gifts is set to open in 2021. The B. Loved Fitness & Gifts Staff along with myself can’t wait to see you!”
